• Initial meeting with students and parents to discuss general interests, needs, and goals and an overview of the college admission process. 
• Follow-up meeting to discuss college options in relation to student’s academic and extracurricular profiles and aspirations.  
• Additional meetings, phone, text, and email support as necessary throughout the entire college planning and admission process. 
• Analysis of student’s transcript with advice on future course selection and extracurricular choices. 
• Recommendations for standardized testing – which tests to take and when; suggestions for preparation. 
• Optional assessments using personality and career interest inventories. 
• Suggestions regarding summer activities and/or community involvement. 
• Research and development of initial list of prospective colleges to explore with ongoing refinement. 
• Development of an action plan for campus visits, interviews, application strategies, and deadlines. 
• Preparation and practice for college interviews. 
• Guidance on requesting teacher, counselor, and/or outside recommendations. 
• Assistance in formulating final college list according to a range of selectivity. 
• Help students articulate and demonstrate their strengths and achievements, both in and out of the classroom. 
• Suggestions for presentation of athletic, artistic, or musical talents as they relate to admission. 
• Guidance on college essays: brainstorming and reviewing topics and approaches for application essays and supplemental statements. 
• Final review of applications prior to submission. 
• Discussion of financial aid process, tips and suggestions for scholarship applications. 
• Assistance in analyzing acceptances and financial aid awards for final selection of college.

Our work is a supplement to — not a substitute for — the support a student receives at school. We offer extensive individualized help as we guide students on the college admission journey, but they must also develop a good working relationship with their guidance counselors, who are responsible for providing colleges with required application materials, such as: counselor and teacher recommendations, transcripts, school reports, and supplemental documentation as needed.

As your consultants, we will treat all discussions with the family confidentially and professionally and provide support throughout the process. While we will render opinions about each student’s chance of admission at various colleges, we cannot guarantee the course of action that particular colleges may take. Admission decisions ultimately rest upon the applicant’s individual profile and circumstances as well as each institution’s admission priorities in building a diverse and well-rounded incoming class.
