Nancy graduated from Bowdoin College with departmental honors in Art History and a minor in Studio Art. She received her M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of New Hampshire and has taken additional coursework in college counseling through the UCLA Extension program.
Nancy has over 20 years of experience working in secondary and higher education. She has served as a teacher, coach, advisor, dormitory parent, and college counselor at several independent schools: Ransom Everglades School in Florida, Hebron Academy in Maine, and Cincinnati Country Day School in Ohio. Moreover, Nancy has worked in Student Affairs for both the University of New Hampshire and Bowdoin College, and as Assistant Director of Career Counseling at Bates College. Her community involvement includes board chair and member roles for local schools, historical and arts organizations as well as volunteering in Admissions, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, and Career Planning at Bowdoin College.
When she is not working, Nancy enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Eric, and their four children, three of whom have successfully navigated the college admission process. Nancy began her consulting practice because she is passionate about helping young adults attain their goals by developing greater self-awareness and learning how to best present their experiences and achievements.
